HIM MISSIONARY DIES IN MOTOR BIKE ACCIDENT
Evg. Chandan was returning home after a VBS program
In an unfortunate incident, evangelist Chandan Suryvansi of Hope India Mission, (Walmi Church, Phulwarisherif – Bihar) lost his life in a motor-cycle accident on 8 June 2018. He was riding back home after conducting a VBS program in a village near Phulwari (Bihar). Chandan’s head got crushed under the wheels, after getting hit from behind by a speeding truck on a service road. He passed away on the spot as the result of the injuries. It’s a heartbreaking new for us, his fellow missionaries and coworkers at Hope India Mission. All the pastors and the fellow believers gathered together to hold a commemorative service before the body was sent to be burned as per the Hindu customs. This was because Bro. Chandan and his wife’s family have still not accepted the faith they shared. So their family and relatives wouldn’t allow anything but Hindu customs and rituals..
YOUNG BABLI : ALREADY OUT-CASTED & ESTRANGED
We were in great pain while trying to comfort Chandan’s wife, Babli Kumari. The agony that she is going through cannot be expressed in words. Because she is the only Jesus-believing member from her family. In fact, her relatives began to accuse her and her faith being responsible of the incident. They say the gods & goddesses have cursed her for accepting Christianity and that the incident is an act of punishment for her ‘evil act’. The couple were married for 4 years and did not have children. Babli Kumari was out-casted by her community, parents and relatives for proclaiming her faith in Jesus. And now that her husband, her only supporter through this, has gone to be with the Lord, she is in great despair and loneliness. She hopes to soon come back to HIM ministries and serve the Lord, which we hope & want to help her with.
CHANDAN: A ZEALOUS MISSIONARY & A COMMITTED VBS COORDINATOR
Very recently, Evg. Chandan was given special responsibility of our Children’s Ministry in Bihar region. He successfully coordinated VBS in over 35 locations before leaving us to enter eternal life. He was the topper and smart student of his village. Hailing from a Scheduled Caste (low caste) community, Chandan and Babli Kumari were so passionate about ministry that they decided to join a Bible College and later to unite in marriage before begining to serve the Lord. They dedicated their life for full-time ministry four years ago. Soon after their marriage they were welcomed at Hope India Mission. We pray and hope that the seeds he has sown would reap great fruits for the Kingdom and that we would one day meet him on the beautiful shore.
Who will help to wipe off Her tears through prayer and financial help?
WE NEED YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORTS TO ‘HIM’ MISSIONARY RELIEF FUND PLEASE BE A PART OF HIM’s SPIRITUAL WARFARE…
In yet another motorbike accident last month, Deepak Kumar, one of our missionaries was injured during a VBS trip to Chhattisgarh State. In the year 2013 alone, over 1,37,000 people were killed in road accidents across India, that is more than the number of people killed in all the wars India has fought in the last 100 years! Being a multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-state ministry with over 110 missionaries in North India, Hope India Mission pastors and evangelists travel a lot as part of their ministry. About 75 percentage of them use motor-bikes for daily commute. A lot of minor/major accidents and other medical emergencies do occur every month. The responsibility falls on us to support the survivors/victims/ or their relatives on the occurrence of such emergencies. But a small problem is that Hope India Mission does not have any dedicated funds to deal with such situations
Hope India Mission needs your fervent prayers & generous financial helps for such family members, especially towards the rehabilitation of Chandan’s wife, Babli Kumari.Donate for Babli
